Anheuser-Busch’s Prevent. Don’t Provide program reminds parents and other adults not to buy alcohol for minors or provide it to them at parties, no matter what the occasion. The program is supported with television, print, radio and outdoor ads that carry the tagline "Be a parent, not a pushover."
Research from the National Academy of Sciences and a survey by the American Medical Association have shown that two-thirds of teens who drink get alcohol from a parent or other adult.
According to the 2007 GfK Roper Youth Report™, 69 percent of 13-17 year-olds say their parents are the No. 1 influence in their decisions about whether or not they drink alcohol.
